High-quality, personalised lessons with an award-winning musician and educator with over 15 years of teaching experience.
My Approach
Every lesson is thoughtfully tailored to the individual student. Drawing on more than 15 years of professional performing, recording, and teaching experience, I provide expert guidance to help you develop strong fundamentals while building confidence and musicality.
My teaching takes a holistic approach to musical development, integrating technique, sound production, rhythm, and physical awareness with creativity, listening, and stylistic understanding.
Lessons are designed to be both supportive and challenging, helping you make consistent progress while staying inspired. You’ll leave each session with clear direction, practical tools to work on, and fresh musical ideas to explore.

“Joshua is an inspiring musician, teacher and person. I have been learning Tenor Saxophone with him for over a year and he has opened up my apprecaition of various musical, theoretical and music-history elements of playing that have both elevated how I play, given me confidence and increased my enjoyment of playing my instrument.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Joshua to anyone who wishes to improve their playing and love of music.”
“Josh is an incredibly patient teacher. After 25 years of playing my instrument I have found someone that can fill in all the gaps in my knowledge all while helping me on my personal journey of music theory exploration and harmonic analysis. I feel more connected with my music than ever before.”
